Apollon Formularies chief executive to be keynote speaker at US cannabis conference
Apollon Formularies PLC (AQSE:APOL) said its chairman and chief executive, Dr Stephen Barnhill, is the invited keynote speaker at the Cannabis Science Conference (CSC) in Baltimore from 14-16 September.
In a statement, the company said Dr Barnhill will deliver a presentation on the ‘Unique Combination of Cannabis and Mushrooms for the Treatment of Cancer’ on 15 September.
The UK-based medicinal cannabis pharmaceutical company said the conference is the largest and fastest growing in the cannabis sector, with a focus on medical cannabis, cultivation, psychedelic science and more.
As well as that, the conference brings together industry experts such as research scientists and policy makers, the statement said.
"It [the conference] will serve as an opportunity to showcase Apollon's compelling third-party testing results which showed its proprietary medical cannabis formulations successfully killing nearly 100% of prostate, triple negative and HER2+ breast cancer cells in 3D cell cultures,” said Dr Barnhill.
“This endorsement by CSC is significant for Apollon, as it further strengthens our credibility and will improve our visibility, particularly in North America."
